El 21 de Diciembre es mi cumpleaños.

Voy a cumplir 24 años. Poco a poco me va gustando más y más este número.

Esta semana estuvo cargada de emociones. Tuve muchísimo trabajo, lo que me llevó a descansar poco y a estar un poco estresada. A mitad de semana recibí la mejor noticia del mundo. Mi novio, Ami, me contó que tenía una sorpresa para mi cumpleaños. Él ya tenía todo organizado desde hace tiempo y no quería decirmelo hasta que llegase el momento indicado. Pero pensó que si me lo contaba entonces iba a estar mucho más contenta y así es.

Cuál es la sorpresa? VIAJAMOS A PARÍS PARA MI CUMPLEAÑOS!!

Imagínense mi alegría. Inmediatamente me pusé a llorar. Es por lejos el mejor regalo que recibí en mi vida. El sólo hecho de pensar en París decorada para Navidad y que los dos estaremos caminando por sus calles me hace sonreír y sentirme una persona afortunada.

My b-day is on December 21. I'm going to be 24 years old.

This past week was very stressful. I've been very busy at my job so I couldn't rest enough. However, by midweek my boyfriend Ami told me that he has a surprise for my b-day. At first he didn't want to tell me what it is. He wanted to wait until the right moment but then he changed his mine. He though that I'll feel happier if I'll know from now. And that was so true!

What is the surprise? WE ARE TRAVELING TO PARIS FOR MY B-DAY!!

   I started to cry when he told me. It's by far the best present someone ever gave me. When I think about Paris with the decorations for Christmas and that we are going to walk in those streets, it just makes me smile and feel so grateful.

LOOK AT THAT HAIR!

Hace casi 4 años que no vivo en Argentina, y desde entonces muchas cosas han cambiado en mi vida: pensamientos, trabajos, amigos, algunos que otros kilos, ropa, etc. Sin embargo lo que más muestra mis cambios es mi cabello.

I moved from Argentina almost 4 years ago. Since then a lot of things changed: my thoughts, my jobs, my friends, my weight, my clothes, etc. I think that the most noticeable thing that changed and you actually can see it is my hair.

Estas tres fotos son del año 2010. Tenía el pelo bastante largo y con mi color natural: castaño medio claro. Recuerdo que me gustaba mucho tenerlo largo ya que podía hacer peinados que con pelo corto era difícil lograrlos. 

These three photos are from 2010. I had long hair and this is my natural color: medium-light brown. I remember I really loved it like that. I could do lots of different hairstyles that with short hair are very difficult to do.

Ya estamos en el año 2011 y mi pelo cambió completamente. No soy de esas personas que piensan mucho a la hora de decidir qué hacer con su pelo. Si lo quiero y me gusta, lo hago.
Cuando estaba en el secundario y veía Rebelde Way me corté el pelo y lo teñí de rojo como Marissa. Desde entonces siempre me ha gustado mucho teñirmelo de este color. Como verán lo he tenído más corto e incluso con flequillo.

We are now in 2011 and my hair changed completely. If I want something I just go for it. That's what happened with my hair.
When I was in high school I used to watch "Rebel's Way". I loved so much Marissa's character that I actually cut and dyed my hair like her.
As you can see I had my hair shorter and I also had bangs.

Llegamos al 2012! Empecé un nuevo trabajo donde conocí una chica que tenía pelo negro, corto, con rulos y un pequeño mechón rubio al costado. Me encantó. Decidí hacer algo parecido. Elegí un intercalado de mechas de color natural y mechas rubias.

Me gustaba mucho, fue sin duda uno de los estilos que más me gustaron.

Now it's 2012! I started a new job. I met a girl there with short, black curly hair. She had a stripe of blonde hair and I loved it, so I didn't think too much, and just did it. I really loved it, and think it was one of my coolest looks.

Aquí estoy hoy en el 2013. Color natural, ni muy largo ni muy corto, flequillo al costado. Muchas veces me pregunto si tengo que hacerme algo nuevo o simplemente dejarmelo crecer y ya con mi color por un buen tiempo.

This is me in 2013. Natural hair color, not too long but also not too short and bangs to the side. Sometimes I ask myself if I need to do something new or just let it grow naturally for a long time.

SING ME A SONG

El sábado pasado Shir cumplió 12 años y se lo han festejado a lo grande. Fue una fiesta muy hermosa que se llevó a cabo en un gran salón a la que asistieron muchos familiares y amigos. Disfrutamos de un delicioso brunch, que para mi suerte fue casi enteramente vegetariano.

Shir, que en hebreo significa canción, se veía enormemente feliz. Vimos una presentación de fotos muy emotiva de cuando era pequeña, en viajes, fiestas, con la familia y los amigos. Muchas personas dieron pequeños discursos agradeciendo a los invitados por haber asistido a la fiesta; y a su vez aprovecharon la oportunidad para llenar a Shir de amor con bellas palabras.

Last Saturday was Shir's 12th birthday - and she made a big celebration. It was a beautiful party in a big salon, with many friends and family. We enjoyed a tasty brunch, which was almost entirely vegetarian.

Shir, which means song in hebrew, was so happy. We watched a presentation with lots of photos from her life so far. Her dad, other family members and friends read beautiful wishes notes, and were grateful to the people who attended the party.
