MY BIRTHDAY IN PARIS

On December 21st I celebrate my 24th birthday in Paris. A dream came true.
I'd like to show you what we did on this day.

In the morning we walked around the city. When we arrived to The Seine we took a boat, which gave us an opportunity to see the city in a different way. The best part was when we found out that we could get off the boat whenever we wanted, walk around and come back to catch the next boat and continue our little cruise. So we took the chance and visited the Tour Eiffel and Notre Dame. It was so beautiful!

One of our boat stops: Pont Alexandre III.

Of course we stopped at the Tour Eiffel. We got up the stairs to the second floor where the view was just amazing. We took some photos, rested a little bit and also left a little padlock.

Before we continued our day, we stopped in a coffee shop to drink something and prepared ourselves from the cold.
Llegamos a Notre-Dame. Completamente imponente.

We arrived to the Notre-Dame. We saw people in the entry so we decided to go inside. We were amazed to see how many people were inside - all listening to the organ playing in the background, and a lot of them writing peace notes to honor the 850 years anniversary.

We ate dinner in a restaurant near Notre-Dame. We ordered salad with goat cheese and toasts, and for the main course we had pasta with tomato sauce.

This was the perfect ending for my birthday. When I saw a Laduree shop I didn't hesitate, and just got in. I chose three macaron flavors: Pétale de Rose which tasted like roses, Framboise which was very tasty and strong flavored, and finally Chocolate Passion with passion fruit filling. I also bought a small raspberries cake (and candles) to make my birthday wishes.
It was one of the best birthdays I ever had. I have to thank my boyfriend that made me this amazing gift and make me feel so happy every day. I also want to thank him for being so kind and lovely with me, for always helping me and being with me no matter what.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

PARIS DIARY - I and II -

DAY I

We had a stop in Istanbul. We were very tired but we were also very excited so we didn't care too much.

Nothing better than a french soup in the Parisian cold. We asked for a vegetable soup and an onion soup with gratin cheese. So delicious!

To finish our first night we strolled around the city. We visited the Arc de Triomphe and we walked in Champs-Élysées. It was so beautiful to see the decorations for Christmas!

DAY II

We went up the Montparnasse Tower, where you can see Paris in a view of 360°. The tower was built between the years 1969-1973, it has 59 floors and a height of 210 m. And the view is amazing.

Then we took the metro to Place de la Concorde where the view is also beautiful. The Eiffel Tower was very close to us, and it's possible to see it from almost everywhere in the city, which makes it even more beautiful.
We were lucky to have sunny weather, a bit cold, but when there's no wind it's actually very nice.

Paris has these cute Christmas markets. You can find snacks like Chichi -churros- and hot red wine and many other tasty things. They also have Christmas decorations, some things for the house and clothing.
La Défense
Cenamos comida mexicana.

We ate Mexican food for dinner. We walked around La Défense - which is the modern business area of Paris. There is lots of high buildings and very interesting constructions.
We ended our night in a Crêpes restaurant. Yes, mine was the big one and I finished all!

It's a long post, I know. But we took so many photos and I really want to tell you everything we did in PARIS!
The next post I'll tell you what we did for my birthday.

VACATIONS

I thought to write a post while I was here, but today I woke up and realized that I just want to enjoy without thinking about anything.
This photo is from yesterday. Arc De Triomphe and Tour Eiffel.
I'll tell you more about my trip next week.
Have you all a nice weekend!

PARIS COUNTDOWN

The Paris countdown already began. I'm so exited, only 4 days left! I can't stop thinking about our trip and all the thing we're going to do there.
When I traveled to Madrid (post I and post II) I decided to do a travel book. I really love it. I wrote there everything I did there, every place I visited, etc. And I'm planning to use it for futures trips in Spain.
For that reason I did a new travel book, this time for Paris. Inside I have the flights itinerary and places we want to visit. I'll write the rest when we'll be there.
As you can see, I love office materials. I also love to write and I have lots of notebooks, each one for a different purpose.

Our little cat, Clementine, spends all day sleeping at home because is very cold outside and also rainy.

Have a nice weekend.
I'm spending it at home drinking tea, organizing our trip and wearing warm clothes.

WEEKEND WITH THE FAMILY

Last weekend was very nice. I spent it with family. I always love the meals at my boyfriend's family house. His mother is French and his sister studied pastry in Paris. For that reason high quality homemade food is always present.
We celebrated two birthdays. We toasted with champagne and had a big dinner. We had entrée, main course and dessert. I knew Keren will bake a Lemon Pie so I was dreaming about that dessert for a couple of days. Finally, I ate it and I can say that it was very delicious!

Thanks everyone for all the comments on the last post (AUX CHAMPS ELYSEÉS). Every day that passes, I feel more and more excited. In about a week we are travelling to Paris. I'll write about that a little more in the next post.
Have a nice day everyone!
